Individual Therapy
For individual psychotherapy, I seek not to simply dole out advice but to give insight to help you understand your situations and guide your decision-making process. Considerations are always made for where a person is developmentally in their life and how physical health, stress, communication patterns, and mood influence each other.
Relationship Therapy for One
Relationships bring fulfillment and meaning to our lives but require ongoing attention. I can work with you to help navigate difficult or strained relationships with friends, family, co-workers, and partners. Rather than draw assumptions about your interactions with others, I can offer feedback gathered through our own personal interactions together, which you can then apply to all areas of your life. The theories that my work is grounded in allow for therapy to focus on relationships, even if your partner or another person related to your situation cannot come to therapy.

Couples Therapy
I help my clients to understand that behaviors, thoughts, and feelings aren’t random, and that feelings are tools to help us understand wants and needs. These wants and needs help us to navigate relationships and can be powerful agents for positive change when properly understood.
When working with couples, I utilize principles from Emotion Focused Couples Therapy and the Gottman Method. These are two of the most well-researched and clinically supported interventions for romantic relationships.

Sex Therapy
My stance of being sex-positive, kink and poly aware, and an ally to those in all types of relationships is present in all of my services, but is especially important in sex therapy. Included in this can be any combination of sex, medical, intimacy, body image, and gender identity issues (LBGTQIA). My dissertation research focused on sexual desire, and I have particular interest in working with all my clients to increase their satisfaction in this area of life.

Family Therapy
Families are dynamic and involve many layers of personalities, each with their own experiences, thoughts, and emotions. This diversity can often become a source of tension within the family system. It is important for individuals to understand their thoughts and feelings within the context of their family unit and recognize behavioral patterns as opportunities for change.
